Payments:

Credit card payment is required when registering for Continuing Education classes online. You may use MasterCard, VISA, or American Express. If you prefer to use cash or a check, you may register by mail or in person. View CE Registration Office: Location, Hours, & Payment Options.

Refunds:

  • If a student officially withdraws prior to the first class meeting, the student will receive a 100% refund; Motorcycle Safety is excluded.
  • If a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, a student will receive a 100% refund.
  • A 75% refund will be issued (Self-Supporting classes with prefixes CSP and SEF are excluded) if the student officially withdraws prior to or on the 10% point of the scheduled hours of the class.
  • No refund will be made after the 10% point of the class.
  • The insurance, technology, and supply/lab fees are refundable only if a class is canceled or the student drops before the class begins.
  • Refunds are processed on the 1st and 15th of each month.

This is an online class offered through Ed2Go: Fantasy is an increasingly popular genre of fiction, and now is a great time to become a fantasy fiction writer! This course is perfect whether you have an idea for a book or even if you don’t know where to start. With the tools you’ll gain in this course, you’ll be ready to tackle your first fantasy novel. In this course, you will learn what separates fantasy fiction from other types of fiction. You will also discover how to create characters and populate your world with unique, compelling, and interesting creatures. You’ll learn how to outline your book, come up with a theme, and commit to actually writing. You will learn how to revise and edit so that when you complete it, your book will essentially be a finished product. You will even learn a bit about publishing your book, including the differences between self-publishing and traditional publishing. Finally, you’ll get a number of tips about how to stay motivated and complete your novel - because, after all, writing is hard work!

This is an online class offered through Ed2Go: This course reviews the foundational elements of grammar, including the parts of speech, and master the basics of punctuation and mechanics. You will explore sentence structure, nouns and pronouns, and you will work with the different kinds of verb tenses. You will also explore adjective and adverb use and be introduced to some best practices for using these parts of speech effectively in your writing. Then, learn phrases and clauses, as well as parallelism, coordination, and subordination. You will see how different phrases and clauses fit together in sentences so that your writing is clear, concise, and meaningful. Finally, put your skills to work as you explore some different kinds of business writing, paragraph writing, and even formal essay writing. By the time you’re done with the course, you will not only have the advanced grammar skills you need, you will also understand how to use those skills in practical ways.

This is an online class offered through Ed2Go: Communicating successfully depends on effective use of communication strategies and behaviors. Words, facial and body movements, tone of voice, even clothing and situation, all form an intricate symbol system that must be quickly translated by those who want to communicate. It has been said that there is no communication unless a mutual sharing of meaning takes place. It has also been said that one cannot NOT communicate. These two ideas seem to oppose one another, but they are two sides of the same coin. A smile can have many meanings, but so can silence. This course will show you how to manage the conscious and unconscious codes of meaning people send to each other and how to respond with appropriate codes in turn. You will explore concepts of verbal and nonverbal expression, including personal style, listening, relationship dynamics, self-esteem, conflict management, and cultural and gender communication differences.

This is an online class offered through Ed2Go: Nursing is a high demand yet competitive field. Nursing school candidates are evaluated on several factors, including their performance on the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS). This standardized admission test assesses a candidate’s skills in reading, math, science, and English and language usage. The TEAS Prep 1 course will prepare you to sit for the Reading and English and Language Usage portions of the TEAS exam. This hands-on TEAS test preparation course includes focused content, videos, discussion questions, flashcards, test prep tips, and practice test questions. You will learn to identify topic sentences, recognize the different forms of an argument, determine the author’s purpose, evaluate the point of view of a text, and examine conventions of English spelling and vocabulary.
