Payments:

Credit card payment is required when registering for Continuing Education classes online. You may use MasterCard, VISA, or American Express. If you prefer to use cash or a check, you may register by mail or in person. View CE Registration Office: Location, Hours, & Payment Options.

Refunds:

  • If a student officially withdraws prior to the first class meeting, the student will receive a 100% refund; Motorcycle Safety is excluded.
  • If a class is canceled due to insufficient enrollment, a student will receive a 100% refund.
  • A 75% refund will be issued (Self-Supporting classes with prefixes CSP and SEF are excluded) if the student officially withdraws prior to or on the 10% point of the scheduled hours of the class.
  • No refund will be made after the 10% point of the class.
  • The insurance, technology, and supply/lab fees are refundable only if a class is canceled or the student drops before the class begins.
  • Refunds are processed on the 1st and 15th of each month.

This course is designed to meet the training requirements for becoming qualified as a Medication Aide. The course will cover the six rights of medication administration for non-licensed personnel. Topics will include medication administration via the oral, topical and instillation routes, medical asepsis, hand hygiene, terminology, and legal implications. Upon completion, students should be able to take the competency exam and demonstrate skills necessary to qualify for listing on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry.

The course is necessary to satisfy the NC Real Estate Commission requirements for provisional broker status in NC. Designed to prepare students to pass the real estate license examination administered by the NC Real Estate Commission. This course is designed to build on students’ basic knowledge of 3D printing technology and techniques. Curriculum includes in-depth exploration and understanding of printing with various filament types and appropriate machine settings to accommodate those variations. Students will utilize Fusion 360 to modify or design objects. By the end of the course, students will be able to 3D model, create 3D printed objects and troubleshoot intermediate 3D printer issues. One in five adults in the US report living with a mental health challenge. Mental Health First Aid teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. Gain the skills needed to provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem, and help connect them to the appropriate care. Learn the symptoms of common mental illnesses, substance use disorders,how to de-escalate crisis situations safely and initiate timely referrals to appropriate professional resources in the community. All materials provided. Class prepares students for a certification from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, valid for 3 years. Must be 18 years of age to register. Class breaks 1 hour for lunch.
