Find Your Future: College & Career Open House
April 3, 2017 A-B Tech hosted its annual College and Career Open House with a job fair expo on March 30 in the Mission Health/A-B Tech Conference Center. The Find Your Future event had more than 500 attendees this year.
Madeline Delp, Miss Wheelchair North Carolina, Visits Campus
April 3, 2017 Madeline Delp, a UNC Asheville senior, and Miss Wheelchair North Carolina visited our campus in February and then returned on the first of March to speak to the Student Government Association about the accessibility of our campus.
Power Up, Power On
April 2, 2017 A-B Tech’s Women in Technology sponsored “Power Up, Power On: Empowering Women in Technology” on March 16 in the Mission Health/A-B Tech Conference Center.
Annual Plant Sale on April 28
March 29, 2017 The 11th Annual Sarah R. Gnilka Memorial plant sale will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, on the Front Lawn of the Sycamore Building. There will be 70 different varieties offered, including new ones for this year. All Proceeds go directly to the Sarah R. Gnilka Memorial Scholarship. All plants are raised from seed in the Sycamore Greenhouse at A-B Tech!

ELI-4 Graduates Latest Cohort
March 29, 2017 On Friday, March 17, A-B Tech graduated 15 cohort members who participated in the Executive Leadership Institute program. This was the first time that the program extended over two years.
Sparks and Former A-B Tech Students Travel to Cuba with Appalachian State
March 29, 2017 Jill Sparks, Executive Director of the Small Business Center, took educational leave in October to accompany a delegation from the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University to Cuba.
Tree Planting in Memory of Stephen Hilderbrand
March 28, 2017 A memorial tree planting was held on March 27 to remember Stephen Hilderbrand, Chair of the Computer Engineering Technology, Electronics Systems Technology, and Electrical Engineering programs in the Division of Engineering and Applied Technology.
A-B Tech Sustainability Program Issues Carbon Challenge to Campus
March 27, 2017 Students in Heath Moody’s Issues in Sustainability and Introductory to Sustainability classes have decided to offset the carbon they will be using during class this semester.
Addiction, Recovery, Coping (ARC) Event on April 5
March 27, 2017 A-B Tech’s Counseling Department is holding an Addiction, Recovery, Coping (ARC) Event from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, in Ferguson Auditorium. There will be three sessions starting at the top of the hour.
