Art by Whitesides Featured in Conference Center Gallery
January 6, 2020 Artist Shirley Whitesides recently had an exhibit of her work in the A-B Tech/Mission Health Conference Center Gallery. The exhibit titled “My Soul Looks Back, A Reflection of Art” included a reception and a fundraising event by Delta House to support youth and families in the Asheville communities.
Latest BLET Graduation at A-B Tech is a Family Affair
January 3, 2020 Three dozen A-B Tech Basic Law Enforcement Training students completed their training and passed their state exams in December, with some of them continuing a family tradition in the profession.

BLET Students Donate to Cancer Charity and Food Pantry
December 3, 2019 Basic Law Enforcement Training students in the day program raised $300 to be donated to LoveLights to assist Cancer Care of WNC in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month in October and Male Cancer Awareness in November.
Spherion Once Again Funds RAMP Scholarship
December 3, 2019 Spherion Staffing & Recruiting of Asheville presented its Community Give Back Donation to A-B Tech's RAMP Scholarship for the second year. The scholarship supports students enrolled in the Engineering and Applied Technology programs.
Cooper Presents at CCA’s Fall Conference

New Therapy Dog on Campus
December 3, 2019 The Volunteer Program at A-B Tech is happy to introduce the newest edition to the A-B Tech Therapy Dog team. Terri and her dog Zoey started making rounds on Thursday, Nov. 7, at 2:30 p.m. in the Elm lobby, RESET room, Vet’s Café, and Locke Library.
60th Anniversary: Yes, We Had a Basketball Team
December 3, 2019 One of the most surprising facts to our campus community is A-B Tech had a basketball team. We were the Atomics, and we had one most excellent season. In the 1970-71 school year, an intercollegiate sports effort was launched with the organization of a basketball team.
